Kent's Vicky Silk recorded a European record in the javelin at the South East Regional Disability Championships in Crawley on Saturday.
The dwarf athlete, a member of Ashford AC, beat the previous record of 15.40m with four of her throws in Crawley, the furthest of 18.91m just five metres off the world record.
In poor conditions the 16-year-old also threw a personal best of 16.10m in the discus and 5.49m in the shot put.
The previous weekend saw Vicky compete for Great Britain in the shot at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.
Competing against older and stronger athletes, Vicky finished seventh in an event that saw Tunisian Raoua Tlili break the world record.
