KENT golfer Benn Barham didn't let the small matter of lost clubs hamper his progress on the opening day of the EnterCard Scandinavian Masters at Barseback Golf and Country Club in Sweden on Thursday.

Barham, from Ashford, was forced to play with a set of borrowed clubs after his own set was lost during transit from London to the European Tour event.

He teed off without a practice round, but produced a superb display to finish the day with a share of the lead on five under par.

He would have held the outright lead but for a bogey on the 18th hole.
