TWO GOALS from man of the match Gary Mickelborough helped Bromley Green secure their second major Sunday trophy of the season with a comfortable 4-1 win over Ashford Cavaliers in the Ashford Charity Trophy final at Homelands.
But they had to come from behind after conceding a second minute penalty when Jake Symonds was brought down and Duncan Garrett converted smartly from the spot.
Green got back on terms after 20 minutes when Pat Kingwell finished from close range and Kingwell was involved in the second after 33 minutes.
His firm shot was blocked but the ball was worked to Mickelborough who showed a neat change of feet to clip the ball into the corner of the net.
Six minutes later the game was effectively over as when a fine kock down from the excellent Kingwell gave Mickelborough the chance to volley home his second.
The Green’s constant pressure saw them go four up on 55 minutes when Marcus Hodges had time and space to pick his spot.
