Ashford secured their place in the South Premier League next season with a nail-biting 3-2 victory against High Wycombe.
Cheered on by a 200-strong crowd at Ball Lane Ashford trailed 2-1 with 13 minutes to go, but hit back to claim a memorable victory in the final match of their relegation battle.
Dan Wells scored Ashford's opening goal but they trailed 2-1 before drawing level for a second time when Paul Cheap drag flicked a bullet-like shot into the top corner.
That seemed to stun Wycombe, who had been the better side for most of the match, and they failed to take advantage when Ashford had Cheap and Sam Handley sin-binned for reckless challenges.
Once both players were reinstated, Ashford’s attack started to buzz, and a move from right to left found Andy Hill who cleverly lobbed home the winner.
Ashford goalkeeper Keir Starley said:“Coming from behind like that to win Saturday’s game was tremendous, and the big crowd certainly made a difference.”
This Sunday, Ashford bid to reach the final of the Kent Cup for the first time since 1974 when they travel to meet Marden Russets (1pm) in the semi-finals.
