Race champion Dawid Krawiecki has got a wildcard ride in the supersport class of the British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend.
The Ashford rider will be back at the race course where he recently clinched a last-gasp British Motorcycle Racing Club title.
Krawiecki clinched the BMCRC Team Respro MRO championship at Brands with a win in the last race a fortnight ago.
The 26-year-old was competing in the 600 class and went into his final race weekend of the year sitting second in the championship, 44 points behind the leader.
He reeled the leader in and it all went down to the last race, having got a second and two first places finishes already.
It was wet and the light was fading as the riders lined up for the last race of the championship. Only a win would do for Krawiecki, which is exactly what he achieved!
He announced on twitter that he'll be heading back to Brands this weekend. It's the final round of the British championship.
He wrote: "I'm doing a wildcard at British Superbikes in the Supersport class this weekend. I'm really not expecting anything, I'm just doing it for a bit of fun! Be sure to tune in to see me at the back of the grid."
The racer added: "Massive thank you to BJ Signs & Decals LTD for sorting my numbers at such short notice."
