Max Watters has left Ashford United to sign for Doncaster Rovers.
The 19-year-old has signed a two-year deal at the League 1 club, who he will officially join on July 1.
Watters said: "I’m over the moon. It’s always been an aim of mine to try and get a contract in the EFL so now it’s about working hard to keep improving.
"It’s such a friendly club and when I came here on trial they couldn’t have done any more for me. The squad were really welcoming from my first day.
"I noticed the manager likes to give young players a chance. Hopefully I’ve made my mark with the coaching staff to show them what I’m capable of."
Watters joined Ashford in September 2017 and went on to score eight goals in 27 appearances for the club.
He missed the last three months of the season through injury but Doncaster, who signed Alfie May from Hythe in January 2017, had already seen enough to make their move.
Jason Whitmore, who brought the forward to Homelands, said: "When I first saw Max last season, I knew then he was a special talent.
"He has all the attributes needed to make it as a pro footballer.
"This will be a perfect move for him to continue his development."
