Ashford Town manager Steve Lovell has dedicated his December manager of the month award to the rest of the club.
Lovell received the award from the Ryman League after the Nuts and Bolts won all five league games during the month to move up to sixth in the Division 1 South table.
Lovell said: "Its always nice to receive awards but it’s a team effort and everybody has been working hard as our run of good form has continued and the award is an acknowledgement of that."
The club’s attempt to make it seven league wins in a row was put back a week on Saturday after their game at Whitstable was called off due to the frozen pitch.
The re-arranged game looks set to be played in mid-February and Lovell had mixed emotions about the game being cancelled.
He added: "In a way it was a nice game to have called off because of what usually happens after managers get the monthly award.
"Joking aside, though, we were disappointed but after the heavy frost on Friday night, there was no way we could have played it.
"We are now looking forward to the game against Godalming on Saturday. They beat us earlier in the season so we know it will be tough but we are a different team now."
Mark Lovell should be on the bench again after recovering from injury but Claude Seanla looks set for a spell in the reserves after contacting the manager again following a two-month injury lay off.
