Scott Porter admits he is playing a waiting game over his two midfield transfer targets.
The Hythe Town boss has had talks with both players, and hopes to have more news by the weekend.
He said: “They have obviously got other offers, but there is a deal on the table for one of them. I hope to speak to them again in the next couple of days.”
“We have got a list of players we are interested in, and if I get these two that will be me done transfer-wise. If they don’t come I will look elsewhere, we have got a list of other players we are interested in.”
Meanwhile former striker Brendon Cass, released by Porter to accomodate the arrival of Shaun Welford at Reachfields has joined Ryman League Division 1 South Faversham, Hythe’s play-off semi-final conquerors.
Porter will have injured pair Nick Barnes and Darren Winfield available for the start of pre-season training. Barnes underwent a cartilage operation, while Winfield was sidelined by a calf problem in the latter stages of last season.
