NEWLY crowned British ladies skeet shooting champion Sarah Quinn has added to her expanding trophy cabinet following a successful trip to Texas USA, where she competed in the Skeet Shooting World Championships.
Sarah, a legal accountant at Kingsfords Solicitors in Ashford, competed in the Mini World competition, winning both the 20 gauge and 28 gauge to finish second in her class.
However, the icing on the cake for Sarah was shooting a personal best of 99 (out of 100) in the main World Championship event to finish in fourth position overall in her class.
"It was a fantastic experience and I am really pleased to bring home some more silverware," explained Sarah. "As you can imagine there was stiff competition with many of the competitors shooting perfect rounds, but to achieve second place in the Mini World Competition and fourth place in class for the World Championship is pretty amazing, I am ecstatic".
Skeet shooting is a discipline of clay pigeon shooting and Sarah was first introduced to the sport on a fun day at Willow Farm near Tenterden almost 10 years ago.
