DARREN CROUCH, from Ashford’s Olympians Gym, claimed the 67.5kg under-16 title at the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Powerlifting Championships in Dover.

The 15-year-old recorded lifts of 130kg (squat), 87.5kg (bench press) and 167.5kg (dead lift) for an overall total of 385kg.

Charles Pajak, also of Olympians, took second place overall in Kent’s Strongest Man at New Romney.

One of nine competitors, Pajak finished first in the 440kg tyre flip (9 flips) and second in the farmers walk (110kg in each hand), log press (two reps, 90kg), duck walk (220kg, 35m), dead lift (two reps, 265kg) and the medley.
