Ashford Town manager Steve Lovell has admitted his side may have to rethink their tactical approach to away games following the FA Cup exit at Kingstonian on Sunday.
The Nuts and Bolts have lost three on the spin away from Homelands, a situation that Lovell wants to see reversed.
“We’ve got to try and be as resolute away from home as we are at home,” he said. “We’ve basically been playing the same way for all matches, with plenty of success at home but not so much away.
“We showed again on Sunday that we can create plenty of chances, but we also showed what happens away from home when we don’t take them.
“If we have to be a bit more defensive in away games to pick up results then we will do it. But our approach at home won’t change.”
That could be bad news for Saturday’s opponents Dulwich Hamlet, who are level on points with Ashford, but have recorded just one win on their travels this season.
Burgess Hill Town then host Ashford on Tuesday evening. Town have no fresh injury problems ahead of the games, with striker Mark Lovell the only long term absentee.
