Ashford comfortably beat fellow strugglers Erith on Saturday in Kent 1 in a complete reverse of the previous meeting in the London suburbs.
On that occasion, Erith won 47-6 but Ashford continued their good home form to win their penultimate league game with ease.
With four minutes gone, Ashford opened the scoring when Ali Vant’s kick was chased by winger Chris Baker and he grounded an unconverted try.
Erith responded immediately with a penalty kick from some loose play by Ashford but the hosts were quick to extend the lead.
A powerful surge through the centre by veteran Joe Lakin saw him score under the posts which JJ Murray converted.
Ashford scored once more before the break with a try from Peter Walsh to take the half-time score to 17-3.
The second half was all Ashford and tries from Lakin and Pete Walsh extended the lead further.
Owen Roberts muscled over for a try in typical style and JJ Murray continued to rack up points with his boot.
Hooker Louis Stimpson then off loaded to Owen Piper to score and then set up JJ Murray to claim the final try.
