Liam Harper will have the honour of representing the England Under-16 golf squad for their matches against Scotland and Ireland next month.
The 15-year-old Lydd Golf Club member and Kent Under-16 captain recently became the youngest player to represent the Kent first team at a senior level.
Despite only starting the sport aged 11, Liam has risen to prominence on the national junior golf scene.
In June, Harper finished a creditable 29th in the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters – one of the most prestigious junior championships in the world – with a four-round total of 301 on the tricky Nizel golf course in Sevenoaks.
He makes his England Under-16s debut against Scotland at the South Staffordshire club on October 5 and 6 and then plays against Ireland the following weekend.
