40 firefighters called to terraced house blaze in Biggin Hill, Bromley

Around 40 firefighters were called to tackle a house fire.

Multiple crews were sent to Challock Close in Biggin Hill, Bromley, where they have been fighting the blaze, which started just before midday.

The fire, which started in the loft of one of the houses and involved solar panels is now under control.

Six engines remain at the scene.

One person left the house before fire crews arrived and no injuries have been reported.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “The Brigade was called at 11.54am and the fire was brought under control by 2pm but crews remain on scene.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Met Police were also called by the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
