A search for a missing man has ended in tragedy after a body was found at a golf course.

London Fire Brigade had sent up its drone and a police helicopter dispatched to help look for the man, last seen in the Barnehurst area of Bexleyheath yesterday.

This morning a body was found at Barnehurst Golf Club off Mayplace Road East.

The missing man’s next of kin have been informed.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police Service confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.
