A car was found ablaze on the side of a road frequently plagued by fly-tipping and grass fires.
Fire crews were called to a vehicle alight on Wallhouse Road in Erith this morning.
One fire engine attended shortly before 8am and the fire was under control shortly after.
The incident happened close to the Crayford Marshes, near Dartford and is a known hotspot for fly-tipping.
Last month 20 fire engines and around 125 firefighters tackled a blaze which engulfed buildings and a strip of marshland roughly equivalent to the size of a football field on Ray Lamb Way – which connects onto Wallhouse Road.
Crews rescued 15 people using fire escape hoods and another 13 people were led to safety by crews.
Fly-tipping is often reported on both roads with fridges, tyres and other items dumped in roadside ditches.
There were no reports of any injuries at either incident and the cause of both fires are under investigation.
