Shocking dashcam footage captures the moment large fence panels fly off back of a van on the motorway.

It happened at around 7.45am near Bexley and was caught on camera by a motorcyclist travelling in the opposite direction.

Four of the wooden panels ripped off the roof of the grey van and luckily missed oncoming traffic.

The rider who caught the video, Mark Vooght, said: "I was on the opposite lane, going London-bound when a coast bound van lost its load of fence panels.

"It was very dangerous and could have caused a serious accident or even decapitated a motorcyclist if anyone had been closer behind him.

"Sadly my footage cannot pick up the registration, otherwise I would have reported him to the police."
