A Kent schoolgirl who was brought to tears when an England star handed over his shirt after the semi-final win on Wednesday has spoken about the emotional moment.

Belle McNally, from Bromley, stormed the internet after she was pictured in hysterics when Mason Mount gave her his match worn shirt after England beat Denmark 2-1.

The 10-year-old has been all over the news in the past two days, appearing on Good Morning Britain, in the papers and even speaking to German media outlets.

Belle went to the game with her dad, Tommy McNally, and even let slip she bunked off school to attend the historic win and grab the Chelsea star's shirt.

Speaking to KentOnline she said: "It's still crazy. Sunday's game hasn't even come to my mind as I'm still coming to terms with what happened on Wednesday.

"During the Croatia game my dad and I got there early and saw the players arriving and Mason Mount waved and smiled at us.

"Then for England's game against Denmark I thought he was so nice I made him a flag and we wrote his name on it with a felt tip pen, and I think he recognised us.

"I didn't think he was going to give it to me and I was so shocked when he came over to me. I was so happy and had so many different emotions I turned round and ran to my dad and hugged him.

"It was such a surprise, I didn't expect it. It's all so new to me and when I was on the TV this morning and there was a message from Mason I ended up crying again.

"I can't thank him enough, because if it wasn't for him this wouldn't have happened."

Tommy revealed the pair have even received tickets for the men's national team's first final at a major tournament since 1966.

The Kent dad said: "I'm just enjoying the limelight and tagging along. To be honest it's been crazy. Belle is an Arsenal fan and everyone is trying to convert her to Chelsea.

"We got in at 2am the next morning and at 6am Belle came running in jumping on me saying "I'm famous, I'm famous"."

"It's been nearly 60 years of hurt for us now, with so many painful memories, missed opportunities, poor performances, it'll mean so much if we can win it."

When asked what her school thought about the youngster bunking off, Belle revealed a teacher pulled her aside when she came in to school and joked they saw her on the TV.
