Murder investigation launched after woman found with stab wounds in Penhill Road, Bexley dies

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman found with stab injuries died from her injuries.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman, was found at Penhill Road, Bexley on January 16.

She was taken to hospital where she sadly died from her injuries on Wednesday.

A man has been charged in connection with the investigation.

Tony Curant, of Penhill Road was arrested on January 20 and charged with attempted murder the next day.

He appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on January 22 where he was remanded in custody. He next appears at the Old Bailey on February 5.

The victim’s family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
