Police cordon off Erith Road in Bexleyheath after altercation

A man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after reports of an altercation.

Police were called to Erith Road in Bexleyheath at around 5.30am after a man was found with life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics attended and the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment. He remains there in a critical condition.

It is believed the man sustained his injuries following an altercation with the occupant of another vehicle at the scene.

No arrests have been made and inquiries into the circumstances continue.
