Trains resume in Bexleyheath after person hit by train

Train journeys were cancelled this morning after reports a person had been hit by a train.

Rail services are now able to run via Bexleyheath but “delays and alterations are still possible”.

A Southeastern spokesperson stated this morning: “Because of emergency services dealing with an incident, services on the Bexleyheath line are currently being disrupted.

“Response staff are en route to assist the emergency services in getting the line reopened as quickly as possible.”

Southeastern expects the service will return to normal by 11am.

Tickets are no longer being accepted on DLR, London Buses and the Underground

Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
