Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash which saw a car flip on its side at a busy roundabout.
Police and paramedics were called to Crittall’s Corner roundabout at the Sidcup Bypass shortly after 1pm and the junction was temporarily blocked near Sevenoaks Way.
Fire crews also attended and used cutting tools to remove the roof of a black VW Golf in the middle of the carriageway and release a man who was trapped inside.
Another white vehicle was also seen on its side.
This car has since been covered in police tape and moved to the side of the carriageway. The roundabout has now fully reopened.
One eyewitness at the scene earlier told KentOnline: “There’s a car on its side at Crittall’s Corner which is blocking the left hand side inner lane.
“Police are there and there is also crowds of people.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1:01pm today (20 January) to reports of a road traffic collision at the land junction with Sevenoaks Way in Sidcup, Bexley
“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a fast response car and an incident response officer.
“We treated two patients at the scene before taking them to hospital.”
It’s understood the two people suffered minor injuries.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed they were assisted by firefighters from Kent Fire & Rescue Service at the scene.
They were called at as called at 1.21pm and were stood down around an hour later.
