The date when Lullingstone Park Golf Course will reopen has been revealed, as a firm gets ready to take over running it.
The ground in Chelsfield, Orpington, was forced to close on March 8, along with Sevenoaks Leisure Centre and Edenbridge Leisure Centre, after the former operator fell into liquidation.
Sevenoaks District Council has held a number of meetings since the closures to discuss the future of the sites and on Tuesday confirmed that provider Everyone Active will take over running them on an interim basis.
Lullingstone – a 500-acre facility with both a nine-hole and 18-hole course – is now set to reopen on Saturday, April 22.
Hasan Romel, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “We’re hugely excited by the prospect of welcoming the local community back to Lullingstone Park Golf Course.
"It’s great news that people will soon be able to use this fantastic facility again."
Everyone Active and Sevenoaks District Council hope to reopen Edenbridge and Sevenoaks leisure centres in the coming weeks.
Hasan continued: “We are keen to maintain any previously-confirmed bookings, so we would please urge any schools, clubs or people who have made singular bookings to get in touch with us.”
The newly-appointed operator is holding consultation days for previous bookings on Wednesday, April 19, from 10am-4pm at Edenbridge Leisure Centre and Friday, April 21, from 10am-4pm at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre.
It is also hosting recruitment days for golf this Tuesday at White Oak Leisure Centre, from midday-5pm, and for all leisure recruitment at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre on Thursday, April 20 from 10am-7pm.
