A British bulldog puppy stolen during a knifepoint robbery has been found safe 35 miles away from where he was snatched - and a man has been arrested.
Three-month-old Spot was taken from his owner by two strangers in Orpington yesterday morning.
His owner was threatened with a knife in Lullingstone Crescent before thieves bundled Spot into a white Mercedes and sped off.
Police issued an appeal to help locate both the missing puppy and the two male suspects who stole him.
However, Spot has now been found wandering the street in Essex - about a 45-minute drive from where he was taken.
He has since been safely returned to his owner.
As a result of inquiries by detectives from the South Command Unit, earlier today officers from Central East Command and the TSG executed a warrant in Newham.
A 33-year-old-man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is now in custody at a north London police station.
