Three adults and two children had to be rescued after a house went up in flames.
Three fire engines attended the blaze in Manor Road, Erith, at around 4am this morning.
Half of the ground floor of a two-storey mid-terraced house was damaged by fire, and two adults wearing fire escape hoods were rescued from the first floor.
One adult and two children were also rescued from the first floor via a ladder.
They were all taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire had been put out around an hour later, shortly after 5pm.
Around 15 firefighters from local fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
