A man is in a critical condition following a stabbing in the early hours of this morning.
Several roads were taped off for up to 13 hours while police investigated the incident in Bexleyheath.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital after emergency services descended on the scene at around 2.35am today.
He remains in a critical but stable condition.
No arrests have been made yet and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
The Broadway was taped off between the roundabout for the bowling alley and the petrol station, while part of Church Road was also blocked.
Tape was used to ring off a black Ford Fiesta that was parked on the pavement.
It reopened around 3.30pm.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at approximately 2.35am on Saturday, November 19 to reports of a man suffering a stab injury in Lion Road, at the junction with Bexleyheath Broadway.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment.
"He remains there in a critical condition.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."
