A teenage girl was grabbed from behind by a stranger as police launch an investigation to find the would-be kidnapper.
The 16-year-old was walking in Upton Road, Bexleyheath on a Friday night when she was approached from behind by a man without warning.
The terrified youngster screamed out when she was grabbed and the suspect ran off towards the Broadway in the town centre.
Detectives from the Met Police are now appealing for help to find the man after the incident on Friday, June 25 between 10.30pm and 10.40pm.
They have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question in connection with the incident.
He is described as white, wearing black bottoms and a beige jumper. He also had a face mask pulled down to his chin.
Investigating officer Det Con Tristan Hunter said: "Though the victim was not physically injured, she was left incredibly shaken by this frightening incident.
“I urge anyone who may recognise this man to contact us immediately.”
