Police officers gave chase to two balaclava-clad men on a stolen moped in Orpington this morning.

The rider is understood to have jumped a red light in the town's High Street at about 11am.

Six marked and two unmarked police cars and a helicopter were involved in the pursuit.

Two men were arrested after decamping the machine and making off on foot along Knoll Rise.

The Met Police have been approached for comment.
