A man has been charged with the murder of stranger killed for his Rolex watch.
Danny Pearce, a father from Bromley, died in 2017 after being stabbed and shot at in Greenwich in what police described as a prolonged and lethal attack.
David Egan is due to appear today at Bromley Magistrates' Court charged with the 31-year-old's murder.
The 23-year-old, of Ashmead Road in Deptford, is also accused of possession of a firearm, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
Mr Pearce died from multiple stab wounds. Police also found evidence a gun was fired in his direction during an attack shortly after midnight while he was on his way home from a night out at Oliver’s Jazz Club.
He was with his girlfriend and two friends. Mr Pearce's silver Rolex, worth around £5,000, was also taken.
A Dartford man, Jordan Bailey-Mascoll, was previously convicted of murder for his role in the death of Mr Pearce. The 25-year-old was jailed in July 2018 and given a life sentence, with a recommendation he serve at least 35 years.
At the end of the trial, Mr Pearce's mother, Jan, released a statement saying: "Danny was randomly murdered in Greenwich.
"He left behind a family who loved him unconditionally, including two sisters and a brother. But it is not only us as adults suffering - Danny's nieces and nephews are grieving and it hurts them in different ways. How do you answer a child when they ask where Uncle Danny is?"
Egan has also been charged with two robberies, as well as possession of an offensive weapon and having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
