A park is cordoned off after a report of a serious sexual offence against a teenage girl.

The incident allegedly took place while the victim was walking through Priory Gardens in Orpington, yesterday (February 22).

Police officers were seen near All Saints Graveyard in Old Priory Avenue, which leads to the park, at around 5pm today (February 23).

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the force is currently investigating the allegation.

Inquiries are ongoing.

The victim is continuing to be supported by specialist officers.
