A railway line between Kent and the capital has been closed this morning after a man was hit by a train.
The incident happened at Bexley railway station, with services between Dartford and London via Sidcup suspended while emergency services attend the scene.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called today at 9.26am to reports of a person injured at Bexley railway station.
"We sent an ambulance, a medic in a response car, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and members of our hazardous area response team (HART) to the scene.
"We also dispatched London’s air ambulance.
"We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre."
Train operator Southeastern said services would be diverted to run via Bexleyheath or may be cancelled at short notice.
Affected passengers can also use London buses at no extra cost between Lewisham and Dartford for travel to and from stations on the Sidcup line.
British Transport Police has been contacted for comment.
