There are plans to open a German Doner Kebab restaurant in an empty town centre shop.

It would replace a section of the former Bonmarche store in Bexleyheath Broadway.

German Doner Kebab claim to sell "game-changing" gourmet kebabs, and has more than 100 stores in the UK alone.

The chain has branches in Bromley, Canterbury, Dover, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.

Their website also says a location in Gravesend is ''coming soon".

Menu items include their OG kebab, doner wrap, veggie kebab and Doritos doner krunch burger.

An application for the new fully-glazed shop front with central entrance doors and associated signage was submitted on January 19, although it has not yet been approved.
