Police have launched an investigation after a woman in her mid-20s died despite desperate efforts to save her.

Officers were called at just after 3.45pm this afternoon to a property on East Rochester Way, Sidcup after concerns for a person’s welfare.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene but were unable to save her.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: “Emergency services attended and provided first aid.

“Despite their efforts, the woman, aged in her mid-20s, died at the scene.

“Officers are in the process of tracing her next of kin.

“The death is being treated as unexpected. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.”
