A car linked to an arson attack on a the family home of TikTok influencers has been eliminated from police inquiries.
Detectives sought the light blue Fiat Punto and its owner as part of a renewed appeal for information.
The vehicle, which had a noticeable dent in the front right wheel arch, was thought to be in Dartford or the south east London area including Welling, Bexleyheath and Greenwich.
But the driver has now come forward and the vehicle eliminated from inquiries.
Officers and the London Fire Brigade were called to a fire on South Gipsy Road, Welling, at around 11pm on July 14 and had put out the flames about an hour-and-a-half later.
There were no injuries or arrests but inquiries continue.
The home belongs to a family famous on TikTok, who claim they have been targeted in the attack.
Det Sgt Danny Banks, from the serious and complex investigations unit, said: "The victims in this incident are prominent on social media and have suffered a hugely distressing ordeal, not least because they have lost their home but have also since suffered baseless allegations on social media that they are responsible for this incident.
“I am happy to state that they are not and remain supportive of our investigation.”
