A woman was dragged into bushes and raped by a stranger after stepping off a bus.
Detectives are now appealing for help track down a man after the attack in Bromley and have today released an image of him getting on to a bus.
The public are being asked to assist investigators identify the man who was captured on CCTV on the N199 night bus.
Police say the woman – aged in her late teens – got off the bus at Southborough Library in Southborough Lane before walking along Turpington Lane where she was pinned down and assaulted.
Officers were called at 12.39am on March 20 after receiving reports a man restraining and assaulting a woman.
When they arrived shortly after, the woman told officers she had been dragged into bushes by an unknown man and raped.
Paramedics arrived and took the victim to hospital for treatment to a head injury and two black eyes.
The Met's dog unit and police helicopter were sent to search the area to trace the man but were not successful.
The victim is now receiving specialist support from trained officers.
The man pictured is believed to be the last person seen to be next to the victim in the same area.
