A woman was treated by paramedics after her tumble dryer went up in flames.
Fore crews attended a house in Summerhouse Drive, Bexley, at 4.30pm.
They found a tumble dryer with smoke coming out of it and used a hose reel jet and large fan to put out the blaze.
A woman in her 40s was treated for smoke inhalation and placed into the care of paramedics.
The Kent Fire and Rescue Service volunteer response team were also called to offer welfare and emotional support.
The cause of the fire isn't known at this time.
Fire crews left the scene at 5.40pm.
