Welling have retained the services of manager Warren Feeney for next season.

Feeney arrived at Park View Road in mid-March after Peter Taylor's departure and successfully led the club to survival in National League South.

In 10 games at the helm under Feeney, Welling recorded three wins, two draws and five defeats - with their place at step 2 achieved with one game to spare after a 3-2 win over champions Maidstone.

Feeney said: "I am delighted to sign a new contract with Welling United.

"It is a fantastic club with a great future and I am keen to be part of it.

"There will be no rest in the off-season, as we have already begun work on building a competitive team for 2022/23.

"I would like to thank the board, staff, players and fans for their support and cannot wait to see all the fans back in pre-season."

Newly-appointed Welling chairman Paul Whitehead said: "The board was unanimously in favour of re-appointing Warren as manager.

"He came in to the club at a difficult time and managed to pick up the vital points we needed in order to stay up in National League South.

"We are all excited to see what he will be able to achieve next season."

Whitehead heads up a new-look board at Welling after Mark Goldberg stepped down as chairman earlier this week.

Brett Smith has been named vice-chairman, with Howard Prosser and Garry Fiore joining WUISA chairman Matthew Mein what the club described as an "operational board".
