Welling boss Bradley Quinton has shuffled his squad ahead of a busy run of Christmas matches.
The Wings, joint-bottom in National League South with just seven points from nine matches, have signed two players and released three.
They have taken advantage of the lack of action in Isthmian Premier to land hotshot Cray Wanderers striker Joe Taylor.
He scored 32 goals for Cray last season and has already 13 times this season.
Taylor attracted plenty of interest in the summer but decided to stay at Cray and has joined the Wings on for a month on dual registration terms.
The second new face at Park View Road is defender Rob Strachan.
The 20-year-old centre-back joins on loan from Millwall. He signed his first professional deal at the start of last season.
Heading out of the exit are striker Rowan Liburd, Anthony Cook and Lexus Beeden.
Liburd joined in the close season but netted just once in nine games for the Wings.
Cook initially left at the end of last season before returning to the club while Beeden was another summer signing.
Welling's next game is on Tuesday night at home to Havant in National League South.
