An Australian stationery chain is set to open a new store in Canterbury city centre.
Popular firm Typo is thought to be planning to open a branch in the Whitefriars premises until recently occupied by Disney Store.
While the firm specialises in "fun and affordable" stationery, it also sells a range of homeware, gifts, travel and technology accessories, cards and wrapping products, and DIY crafts.
In the last decade, Typo has grown its portfolio from a single shop to more than 170 outlets spanning 10 countries, and an online store.
The firm has been approached for details, but has not yet confirmed when it hopes to launch in Canterbury.
However, a job listing recently appeared online advertising for an assistant store manager for a "brand new" Typo store "opening in October 2019" in Whitefriars.
Whitefriars spokesman Martyn Barr said: "At this stage, I can only confirm that we are in discussions with an alternative occupier for the former Disney Store unit and hope to announce a new arrival very soon."
