Police are appealing for information after 3.5 tonnes of scaffolding was stolen.
Thieves reportedly stole the building equipment, worth £15,000, between 3pm on Friday, February 6 and 6.40am on Monday, February 8 from a temporary works compound in Station Approach in Bekesbourne, just outside of Canterbury.
Sergeant Dave Smith said: “The offenders took down fencing and stole metal poles, boards, metal clips and two ladders from a trailer inside the compound.
“They would have needed a truck and at least two people to have taken this quantity of scaffolding away.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw people at the site over the weekend, or who has since been offered scaffolding for sale, to contact us.”
The scaffolding boards and poles were marked on each end with amber paint.
