An air ambulance has landed in a field in Canterbury this afternoon.

Emergency crews were called at about 1.40pm following reports someone had suffered an accidental injury.

The helicopter touched down on Kingsmead Field, with the incident believed to have taken place near Military Road.

It is understood emergency services remain at the scene.
