An adorable baby monkey is the latest addition at Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury.

The newborn Francois's langur has been welcomed by mum, Ena, and and dad, Sam.

Pictures show the red-haired monkey snuggling up to its darker-haired parents, looking about in wonder as they climb through the trees in their enclosure.

Francois's langurs are found in China and Vietnam. In the wild, they typically live in groups of about 12 individuals, and are led by adult females.

Infants are born with bright orange-coloured fur, which fades to black as they get older.

The newborn is the eighth Francois langur to be born at Howletts in five years - promising news for the species, which is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and is decreasing in numbers in the wild.
