In a post on Facebook, the school said: "To pre-empt any rumours circulating, the air ambulance that has landed on our field is responding to an accident nearby, and not one at the school or on the building site."

An ambulance service spokesman said the aircraft was called to help paramedics at a nearby incident.

As the medical incident happened at a private address, they were unable to provide any further details.
