Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault which left a store security guard with head injuries.

The employee was reportedly attacked outside a supermarket shop - believed to be Sainsbury's Local - in St Dunstan's Street, Canterbury.

He is said to have been involved in an altercation with another man before the incident, which also left him with injuries to his hand.
