Boy beaten with crutch in gang attack in Thanington Road, Canterbury

A teenage boy was hit over the head with a crutch in a terrifying gang attack.

The 15-year-old victim was walking on his own in the recreation ground in Thanington Road, Canterbury, near the Neighbourhood Resource Centre when the assault happened.

He was approached by a group of other children who beat him multiple times.

A police spokesman said: “One of the suspects is said to have a cast on his leg and in some instances it is alleged the group used a crutch to inflict head injuries, which required hospital treatment.

“The victim managed to seek help at the local community centre and the assault was reported to police.”
