Reports of traffic queues on A28 near Ashford, between Chilham and Shalmsford Street, after apparent accident

A section of key road was believed to have been closed both ways, with queues, following an accident.

First reports say that this happened on the A28 Canterbury Road outside Ashford, between the A252 at Chilham and Shalmsford Street.

It is thought the incident may have happened before 5pm today.
