KYLIE Minogue is only a fantasy date for most men, but Canterbury university student Brett Allen is betting on his ability to woo Australia's princess of pop.

He has placed a £25 bet with bookmakers William Hill that he can persuade Kylie to join him on a date.

If he manages it, he stands to win £2,500.

And with all the media attention surrounding his bet it seems odds-on Kylie will get to hear about it.
