Shocking pictures show the aftermath of farming equipment falling off a lorry into a road.

Police were called to the A257, between Canterbury and Littlebourne, shortly before 8.30am on Friday.

Images show the equipment lying in the road after it fell off the back of a lorry.

There has also been damage caused to a car.

The road was closed for a couple of hours yesterday while the stretch was cleared.

A police spokesman says the incident happened between Swanton Lane and Evenhill Road.

“No serious injuries have been reported,” he said.

There were long delays in the area, impacting traffic in Canterbury, Fordwich and Littlebourne.
