Officers first issued an appeal to help find the 53-year-old on Wednesday (October 23) and yesterday (October 25) released a second image of him as they continued their search.

Now, they are asking residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcams to check for any relevant footage in the St Peter’s Street and Whitstable Road areas, between 3pm and 5pm on October 17.

Mr McEwan is around 5ft 7ins tall, has dark hair, a beard and glasses and was last seen wearing a cream cardigan, black cap and black jeans.
