CCTV image released after woman in Canterbury ‘sexually assaulted in high street’

A CCTV image of a man has been released following reports of a late-night sexual assault in a high street.

The incident is said to have happened in Canterbury city centre on Saturday April 27.

It is reported that the victim was touched inappropriately over her clothing by a man between 11.50pm and 12.20am.

The suspect then walked off in the direction of Castle Street.

Officers investigating have now released an image of a man they would like to identify, as he may have information which could assist the investigation.

A police spokesman added: “Anyone with information regarding the assault or the identity of the man pictured should call 01843 222289 quoting 46/69743/24.”
